On August 6 2010, IV Business Cluster Club was held in Regent Club Nis. It has already become the traditional monthly meeting of businesspeople and representatives of institutions significant for Nisava District SME sector.
In spite of summer vacation season, about fifty members of Start-Up Clusters and SME owners from Nis, Svrljig, Kursumlija, Aleksinac and Prokuplje attended the meeting. There were also representatives of RCC Nis, as an important partner of Start-Up Clusters Union, together with Colliers International Company representative – participating in New LEED Green Building Associate Exam Preparation Course training for the Construction Cluster members.
There were four excellent presentations:
- Employment Centre presentation – a joint project of City of Nis, LEDIB Programme and City of Aarhus – as a unique bridge between employees and unemployed fellow citizens. The main issue that was stressed out is the inability of educated young people to find jobs. That is why the new way of networking of unemployed citizens and existing and future SMEs searching for educated and skilled workforce was presented. Strengthening of cooperation with National Employment Service Department in Nis and cooperation with business community and educational institutions at the local level are just some of Centre’s activities.
- Serbian Car Parts and Equipment Producers Cluster from Kragujevac was also presented through the “Economic Significance of Serbian Car Cluster for the Vehicle Components Producers Competitiveness Increase and Regional Development of Serbia”. By presenting motifs and interests of entrepreneurs for creation, growth and development of clusters, the Start-Up Clusters members were able to understand all the future potentials they will get through associating into clusters.
- “Business Base” 9th International Fair of Entrepreneurship for SMEs that would take place in Hall 4 of Belgrade Fair from December 2 – 4, 2010 was presented through “ Six Steps for Successful Presentation at Business Base 2010”: 1. Rent your space at the Fair on time 2. Decide what king of stand would you like 3. Apply of the official Fair Catalogue 4. Define your technical needs precisely 5. Make an application for your presentation and 6. BE ACTIVE!
- Regional Chamber of Commerce Nis was presented through “RCC Nis Reform – Capacity Building According To Members Needs”. This reform is supported by LEDIB Programme and is meant to improve business environment in Nisava District through RCC Nis implementation of modern approach to organizing, advocating and servicing of private sector.
