Students of 12 secondary vocation schools in Niš are attending classes dealing with entrepreneurships spirit development and company management during the next school year of 2009/10. Additional classes are organised within the project "Promotion of Entrepreneurship Skills at Secondary Vocational Schools". Students are going to learn how to start, manage and in the end close a company.
There is a great number of young people over 30 years of age without a job. Through this project, there is a possibility for young people to solve their problem of unemployment subsequent to their graduation by opening their own companies and applying the knowledge acquired at schools. Additional classes on entrepreneurship actually contribute to coordinating vocational profiles and market needs.
The project is realized owing to the LEDIB programme with the City of Niš being a co-financier. The project value is 2,368.700 dinars and the City participates with 936.000 dinars.
Nutrition and Chemical school in Niš is the first secondary school where the realization of this project was initiated by the end of the last year. Students of that school formed 8 virtual companies for which they made business plans. Companies deal with producing paper bags, decorative boxes, different cosmetic creams, rosaries. What is more, each company has 5 employees. The initial capital that a company receives amounts 18,000 dinars but it is obliged to return that money after closing. Fairs are also going to be organized at schools so as to enable companies to sell their products and earn money.
Students of final year will be involved in the project and they will be able to start doing business as soon as they finish school. Anyway, the project is being realized in the following Niš schools: Electro-Technical School ''Nikola Tesla'', Electro-Technical School ''Mija Stanimirović'', Mechanical School, Mechanical-Technical School ''15. maj'', Technical School ''12. februar'', Civil Engineering and Technical School ''Neimar'', Nutrition and Technical School, Fashion and Beauty School, Catering and Tourism School, Medical, Art and Trade School.
