During the celebration of the Municipal Day and Honorary Meeting of Municipal Assembly of Municipality of Gadžin Han, LEDIB was awarded the highest award issued by the municipality, Octobar Prize Charter for extensive work on the local economic development of Municipality of Gadžin Han.
In the name of LEDIB Programme, Programme Director Carsten Lund has received the Charter and thanked the host and guest by mentioning the successful cooperation between LEDIB Programme and Municipality of Gadžin Han and the initiative for future twinning arrangement between Municipality of Gadžin Han and Municipality of Lolland in Denmark.
In the previous period LEDIB Programme and Municipality of Gadžin Han have worked on numerous activities from which we would like to highlight the following:
- Modular training programs for municipal workers in the area of local economic development
- Creation of the Strategy for Development of Agriculture in the Municipality of Gadžin Han
- Creation of the Strategy for Development of SMEE in the Municipality of Gadžin Han
In order to announce the successful beginning of implementation of the LEDIB Credit Facility Line, the press conference was held on March 8th 2010, in the lobby of City Hall in Nis. The Governor of the National Bank of Serbia - Radovan Jelasic, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark- Kjuel Mette Nielsen, Mayor of Nis - Milos Simonovic, President of the Executive Board of the NLB Bank - Zoran Djurovic, LEDIB programme Director - Carsten Lund and owner of Kanin enterprise-Dragan Nenadovic, one of the users of the loan from this program, were the participants of the press conference.
