During the celebration of the Municipal Day and Honorary Meeting of Municipal Assembly of Municipality of Gadžin Han, LEDIB was awarded the highest award issued by the municipality, Octobar Prize Charter for extensive work on the local economic development of Municipality of Gadžin Han.
In the name of LEDIB Programme, Programme Director Carsten Lund has received the Charter and thanked the host and guest by mentioning the successful cooperation between LEDIB Programme and Municipality of Gadžin Han and the initiative for future twinning arrangement between Municipality of Gadžin Han and Municipality of Lolland in Denmark.
In the previous period LEDIB Programme and Municipality of Gadžin Han have worked on numerous activities from which we would like to highlight the following:
- Modular training programs for municipal workers in the area of local economic development
- Creation of the Strategy for Development of Agriculture in the Municipality of Gadžin Han
- Creation of the Strategy for Development of SMEE in the Municipality of Gadžin Han
The partnership of Regional Chamber of Economy Nis RCE, Confederation of Danish Industries DI and LEDIB Programme on development project “RCE Nis Capacity Building” resulted in the implementation of the strategic meeting in DBID premises in Copenhagen on January 25-26, 2010.
